Dr. Thomas Price conducts the launch of Liberia FETP intermediate

The U.S Secretary of Health and Human Services, Dr. Thomas Price, paid a two-day visit to Liberia.  As part of his visit, he conducted the launch of the Liberia FETP intermediate program which was held at the National Public Health Institute on  May 17, 2017.

In his address, he expressed appreciation of the US government for the work Liberia is doing, and pledged to work side by side to develop the health workforce to solve remarkable challenges in the area of infectious diseases under the Global Health Security Agenda.

He congratulated the 15 members of the first cohort and encouraged them to make good use of this opportunity.
