On September 20, 2024, the Liberia Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) celebrated the graduation of its 8th cohort of intermediate residents. This milestone marks a significant step in strengthening Liberia’s public health workforce. This significant achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of LFETP, the African Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET), the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL), and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC).
The graduates showcased their skills and knowledge through impressive presentations, including group and individual projects. Their dedication and hard work throughout the program were evident in the quality of their work.
The ceremony was filled with joy and gratitude as the graduates expressed appreciation to the implementing organization, the African Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET), the funding organization, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL).
