Training Programs in Epidemiology and Public Health Interventions Network (TEPHINET) accreditation is an opportunity for field epidemiology training programs (FETPs) to align with common standards that support quality training and increase recognition of their value in supporting country public health priorities. The accreditation of any tier of the FETP gives the program global recognition that it meets the minimum standards for that level of FETP training. It also authenticates the certificates awarded to the graduates.
On September 15, 2022, the TEPHINET Global Accrediting Body (GAB) conferred Accreditation status on the intermediate tier of the Liberia FETP in its first cycle of intermediate-level FETP accreditation.
Achieving recognition as a TEPHINET-accredited program gives the Liberia Intermediate FETP team additional motivation to maintain and improve the quality of the training. The Liberia FETP journey to TEPHINET Accreditation is illustrated in the pictures.
